Elliptical Troubles

Today I opened a NEW box of Dorset cereal.  I had Organic Fruit, Nuts and Seeds.  It was good.  The raisins aren't the same as in the Super High Fiber and I really missed the coconut flakes.  The cereal was delicious however, and I'll definitely enjoy it down to the last crumb!  I do prefer the Super High Fiber variety, so I probably won't buy this again, unless I need a change.  Funny thing, there is more fiber in this box than in the Super High Fiber.  That made me laugh a little..ah marketing.
I had a new batch of fruit salad with me today, the same as last week, minus the kiwis.
And for lunch, SASHIMI!  So good.  Tasty, nose blowing hot wasabi, it doesn't get better for lunch than this.
In the afternoon I had a Kashi Pumpkin Pie granola bar.  I like them a lot.  I have 3 more boxes!
They gym was good again today.  I did a nice 45 min on the elliptical.  I have a problem with this machine though, my toes go numb.  I've tried tying my shoes looser, tighter, and it's definitely not the size of my shoes, as I have a pair that are pretty new and they're a half size bigger than my old pair.  If I really concentrate and lift my feet up a little each step, they won't go AS numb, but it's still uncomfortable.  Does anyone else have this?

Dinner was a sort of open taco thing.  I heat some corn tortillas, and spread them with an avocado/sour cream mixture.  Then I add a mixture of shredded chicken and diced tomatoes, cooked until the juices are gone.  Top it off with cheese, more salsa and sour cream and a lot of hot sauce.  It's really really tasty!  Dessert was a fresh bowl of fruit salad.
It's shaping up to be a good week!  It's going to be +4 on Wednesday and Sunny!  HOORAY!!! I am longing for spring.

  1. I totally get that problem too ~ the foot numbness. It sucks. It is almost always a shoe problem for me, but what about your socks? Are they tight?

  2. My toes go numb, too. Mostly while running, though. It's the weirdest feeling! I have no idea what causes it, though.

I think I could use some nose clearing wasabi right about now....LOL!

    Have a great day, Jessica!

  3. Yep my toes go numb too! If I only do 20 minutes or so on the elliptical it doesn't happen. I've tried to really think of why it would happen but I can't find a reason! My husbands used to go numb when he was running and he found that it was his shoes. They were old and he needed to loosen the laces. Do you need new shoes?

  4. thats so strange about your toes on the elliptical! maybe its because your heels generally move off the pplatform and doing that for 45 mintues can make the blood pool to your toes and not yoru heel, causing this? I really have no idae but I guessed that could be a culprit!
    those tacos look SO delish!

  6. I have the same problem on the elliptical, after about 20-30 minutes, my feet go numb. I heard from a trainer, some people have that problem, and it's just how their legs and feet are built, and they suggest you just try a different machine because there isn't anything you can do about it. I would be careful, as I think it (at least) exacerbated a tendon injury in my leg and made it worse.
