Happy Friday!!

I  really felt like ass today.  I woke in the middle of the night with a mild headache that just lasted all day.  I didn't sleep well either, and Miss Annie thought it would be great to chew on my hair several times between 1-5am.  I didn't bother taking a Tylenol for this, I don't like taking meds if I don't need to, plus, when I'm not well, I like to feel how 'not well' I am, I'm a little paranoid at times when something is off.  I get nervous that if I mask the pain, I'll miss something important.  So I suffered..usuing that word VERY loosely.

I loved the cereal yesterday so took the coupon and bought a box.  Here we have Kashi Toasted Berry Crisp with vanilla yogurt, straw and blueberries.
Then, halfway through the morning, a big bowl of fruit salad.  Hey, it was  few days old, it had to be eaten. Plus, my headaches likes fruit.
At lunch I had to go to the grocery store and was thinking a lot about food.  I had a leftover lunch packed but my aching head wanting something else, so I gave in.  I bought some veggie rice paper rolls and some sushi rolls, stearing clear of the raw fish today.  This was tasty and made my taste buds happy.  I ate 2 of the 3 little rice paper rolls, and 6 of the 9 sushi rolls.  Then one of my coworkers gobbled up the rest so there is no evidence that I ate out AGAIN! :)
In the afternoon I had come celery and hummus.  The carrots didn't get eaten.  They're actually totally frozen together, the fridge at work needs some adjusting I think.  The frost melted off the celery ok.
I read at A Pinch of This and a Dash of That that it is peanut butter month.  I used to eat a lot more peanut butter than I do now.  When I saw the recipe she posted for Peanut Buttery Bars, I knew I had to make them.  They turned out really great!  So tasty.  I put a pretty good dent in this pan throughout the evening.
I forgot to photo dinner - lamb chops, green beans potatoes.  Standard and simple, always good.  Then, some tv catching up with The Shepherd - The Office and Survivor from Thursday evening, and last Sunday's Amazing Race.  We're suckers for reality tv.

Have a great weekend!  My mom and dad are visiting! YAY!

  2. That sucks that your veggies froze. Kinda like when you go to get that head of lettuce that got pushed to the back of the fridge and it ends up being an ice cube.

Hope your head feels better today! Have a great visit with the 'rents...

  4. Those bars look amazing - love the chocolate & PB! I have had yogurt start to freeze at the back of my fridge too, so annoying. I'm always skeptical about turning up the temp and having things not stay cool enough, though!
