LOST CAMERA! Uh oh...

Yesterday I had the most comments I've had yet!  15!  That number seems so huge.  And, as we approach the 100th post, it's nice to see I have some readers.  It makes it worth it.

Yesterday evening I went out hunting for more wild leek patches.  I didn't find any more.  Funny, in a 20 acre maple bush I can only find 2 little patches.  I wonder why they're so selective where they grow?

During my walk, I lost my camera!  AH!  My own fault.  I had it in a non zipper pocket and I was climbing over fallen trees and doing a little bush wacking through the thickest parts!  This is the second camera I've lost in 6 months!  So...today I'm going camera shopping. :)

Have a great day ladies, I'll be back in a day or two, or three....

Jess

  2. Bummer about the camera! But it's a good excuse for a shiny new one, right???

The wild leeks that grow at Jason's parents farm only grow in one area, in one small patch, too. And they don't seem to spread year to year, either.

  6. I don't know why I don't go foraging for ramps myself... we have several acres of deciduous woods right next door - my husband is always saying he wants to go foraging for mushrooms but that scares me!!

ramps I would feel safer with for sure!! hehehe

anyway... if I may make a suggestion - get a little lobster clip (or something like it) so you can attach the camera to a belt loop - you could put it on a long cord so you can still keep it in your pocket when not in use... and if you make it long enough you won't even have to unclip it to use the camera

just make sure you unhook it before ya do the laundry!! hehehe
