Monday morning and it's still the weekend, vacation days are fabulous! I often wake up earlier on a weekend or day off than I do on a work day, I can't quite figure out why. Today the birds were chirping and the sun was rising at 5am, so I crawled out of bed around 5:15. Currently it's 5:30. Crazy, yes.
It was a great weekend! My very dear friend Bethoney was here and she helped me at the market, helped me in the garden and hung out when her bf arrived. It's always so great to see her, we laugh and laugh. Like we're still little girls, being silly and making up funny jokes.
The market was great as usual. I was SO close to having peas to sell! I wanted them to be ready so badly, I was willing them all week! Next weekend.
Here are the shots.
Bethoney and I.
Garlic Scapes, are you familiar with them?
The 4 of us had a very simple, but fabulous dinner. Bbq lamb sausage, beet greens and NEW potatoes! I look forward to the first day of new potatoes almost as much as my birthday! Potatoes were made with garlic scapes and green onions from the garden, butter, s&p, cooked on the bbq.
This photo cracks me up. Any other time, I'd not post it knowing it was some silly alcohol induced action shot, but not this time...no excuse. :)
And, a belly shot - 23 weeks. I liked this dress until I saw the photos. Not sure what I think now, wondering if it is not as flattering as I thought?
Have a great Monday everyone!
Jess
